Community Outreach

The CSC, along with Laurel Church of Christ, invite you to become involved in any or all of these outreach programs. Please contact the CSC office for information on how you can be apart of one of these exciting ministries.

Volunteer Mission - On the second Tuesday of every month we serve lunch downtown at the corner of Gay & Jackson.  It only takes about an hour of your time, and the meal is always greatly appreciated by those we serve.

Tim Kerin Food Drive - Every fall, the CSC along with dozens of other organizations on campus sacrifice a little of their time before a home game to raise money for Second Harvet Food Bank. The VOLS seem to cause a sweat, and everyone's in need of a power towel! And it's our job to sell it to them!

Agape - Be a big brother or big sister to a child!  The Agape ministry reaches out with God's love to kids living in the housing projects of Knoxville.  You'll spend a couple hours per week taking them to church and praying with them....then you'll probably grow really attached and start thinking of all sorts of fun things you can do together.

Adopt-a-Student - Have a family-away-from-home right here in Knoxville.  There are families at our church that are lining up to "adopt" college students!  You'll get to eat, play, and hang out with a real, live family right here in Knoxville. 

Core Groups -  Be paired with a mentor from our church for a weekly small-group meeting of prayer, Bible study, and "life."  If you feel a need to mature in your faith and alsowant the benefit of wisdom and life experience from one of our church members, this ministry is for you
